Well I use IconPackager from Stardock.
As far asI can tell it's the only program that will let you change it, so if anyone knows of a different way fell free to share. ^_^
I just went into Impulse to download IconPackager and it would not let me. Got a message that this program is not compatible with your OS.

I repacked one of the themes for IconPackager and it works well on 7 now.

I made a better Package but I have noticed that some icons are being changed that are not meant to be, I think that is because Icon packager may not be fully compatible, so make sure if you try these out, that you first create a system restore.

I am using the public Icon Packager too and build 7127 X64 and it's working for me.

Maybe see if it will install using compatibility mode for Vista.

That's weird, I have UAC turned off, maybe that has something to do with it.

ok, turns out i am in fact a dunce.
when i don't run in compatibility mode i get the above result. i didn't take your advice at first Mark (the dunce part) and just figured it was effed up somehow. everything larger than small icons didn't work...until i used compatibilty mode for vista.
    it now works.

Ok this is something slightly different

It is possible to use the windows 7 theme engine to provide more than wallpaper in a slideshow

It is also possible to include information from RSS feeds.

An example is here that shows BBC london news and weather ....

    LondonInfo.zip

    Original concept here ....

    RSS-powered Windows 7 desktop slideshows - istartedsomething

Technical spec on London theme ....

Windows Live FrameIt and RSS powered Windows 7 desktop slideshows - Windows Live
