you can just Takeownership of the whole "C:\windows" folder, Well thats all i do.

When I need to restart my computer, the start orb goes back to the original icon. Is this normal?

I have restarted mine several times and it has stayed as it was, not sure what would be causing that.

Ok, i am not a expert, but when you replace .bmp, which ones did you replace, because i believe you need to replace, 6801,6805,6809, i could be wrong.

From there you have all the correct sizes going forward, like i said i am not sure because i am still working on it myself.

If you have your taskbar with full size icons then you only need to change 6805, if you have small icons then you will need 6801 if you have your taskbar on the bottom and if you have your taskbar on the top of the window with small icons you will need to have 6809.
