So I'm fairly lost, I've been surfin' through your themes and icons, and I'm flabbergasted. I hit the mother load of super sexy themes.

I'm curious to know, how do you guys make this stuff? I'm way new to Win7, I went from XP Pro to 7 Pro. I skipped Vista.

Anyone care to fill me in?

Do you perhaps just have those orbs, like in png format? Little bit difficult with the background and everything!

    a couple questions..

I am currently new to the windows 7 stuff... I have gone through and read about 25 pages here, and downloaded a bucnh of theme packs.. Now my questions are, do any of these packs change the whole look of windows 7? Or do i need to change out the dlls like vista? if so which ones do I need to change out? Also does anyone have a few realyl cool lookign dark themes with the icon pakges included the change? I really like some of the icon packages that mr. grim posted I think was the name. If I coudl get those answered that would be great, I would love to use the black icon pack, the black and red, and probably black and purple... If anyone coudl answer these for me and supply me with the info needed to change the whoel look of windows 7 because I really don't liek the original that would be completely awesome. Again I lvoe dark themes that ahve cool grfx and bad a-- lookin icons and star menus, and maybe even a logon screen since I can't seem to figure it out. With vista I tried that windows blinds stuff and couldn't get it to apply liek i wanted but foudn the other themes to work and dealt with a coupel pretty need ones with th echanging of the windows, start menu, text color background for the text etc etc... And with xp I use to use 1 that i can't remember the name of but it let me use a terminator 3 theme which made some excellent changes to my look...Ever since I used it with xp I was interested in changeing my vista, and now with windows 7 I wwoudl liek to do the same.. so agian it would be great to find out if anyone has a themepack that will change all of that and everythign and if I need to swap out dll files... I appriciate the time for any answers that are givin, and anytime that anyone puts into this slight request. Thank you very much...

A new interested windows 7 user.... I am hoping to learn as much as possible with this OS since it seems to run pretty smooth and good so far. Thank you

    Dejavue,

Firstly download and run Patch from here for.dll.

As for dark theme, what verison of W7 are you running and is it x86 or x64?

I have two dark themes, but one is good for 7100 and the another 7600, but one is only good for x86, both are good for x64

    Here is a peak,

It is a .png, you need to change it to .bmp with photoshop cs4.

This is my "How to change start orb Here"

    hope this helps

    cheers

OK, I edited your pic, and changed and cleaned it up. I also made it into a BMP already, so you can just use is for your start orb.
