    Help please with my theme


    so i have dled the Alternative theme for the 7 RC coz im testing it and i want to install it, so i put it in the theme file and instal the patch thats needed to be installed and when i try it wont work, what am i doing wrong?

    what patch are you using?
    what version of windows 7?
    can you provide a link to the theme?

    how are you trying to apply it? what exactly happens?

    NiwradSoft UxTheme Patcher 1.3 is the patcher
    the version is the RC 7100
    Alternative for Windows 7 RC by ~oliver182 on deviantART
    i am trying to install by putting the files into the theme file and then choosing it in the personalize menu and it turns to classic windows

    But NiwradSoft its only for x86 not x64.
    The best patcher is Universal Theme Patcher .

    1. restore your patched files
    2. run this, it lets you use 3rd party themes without patching system files: UxStyle - no more patching.
    3. double-click the .theme file in /windows/resources/themes/

    if you have things set up right, the visual style should now load.

    it's not going to show up in the Personalize dialog, windows 7 does not work like that. if you want a GUI, you'll have to buy this for 3 euros:
