how do i increase visual amount of aero glass strips

i have recently formatted my windows 7 32bit, and i installed windows 7 ultimate 64bit for more power and i don't want to patch my theme files for theming.
i have found ColorizationGlassreflectionintinsity in registry, default value was 32 hexadecimal,
i changed it to 255 but nothing happened and after restarting it goes back to 32
please tell me how to do that

I know it can't be a problem with my graphics card because aero works fine, usually when i modify the graphics driver (re-installing it, updating it) until i reboot my computer.
