Log on fails after creating new theme with Windows 7 Style Builder

Hi everyone. I'm really new to theme modding. I have just started using the program called Windows 7 Style Builder. What I'm trying to do is modify an existing theme by importing some images and replacing them with the ones that are already in the theme. (In particular, I'm trying to change the look of the shell buttons i.e. minimise, close, etc.) Everything seems to be working ok and I can even save the .msstyles file. But what happens is that after I apply the theme (and it looks just the way I want it) but when I log off or restart my computer, I find the computer stuck at the logon screen. When I click my user icon, it loads for a while then it's stuck in the log on screen again. The only way I was able to solve this was to start windows 7 in safe mode and then deleting/moving the theme files from the Windows/Resources/Themes folder so that windows logged in without any aero themes in classic style. So basically, I need some detailed instructions on how to save a theme properly using Windows 7 Style Builder and what to do so that the theme is applied successfully without any issues. Also, I'm a bit confused about what to do with the images that I import into the theme. Are they saved in the .msstyles file or do I have to keep those images as a resource in the Windows/Resources/Themes folder? If so in which folder/location do I save them at? By the way, I got these images from another theme. Basically, I exported some images from one theme and then imported those images in the other theme I'm working on.

    Welcome to the Seven Forums

Have you tried any other custom theme to see if it will start okay?

Sometimes you get a corrupt .msstyles and need to start over.

Zip up the .msstyles of the theme you are having problems with and post it here and I will test it.

After you have imported the pictures into the .msstyles and saved it you do not have to save that image is in another folder or anywhere else as they are in the .msstyles.

I tried it with another theme but it didn't even display ok. Anyway, I'm trying to modify the default aero theme but probably I'm not doing it correctly. What I did was change my theme to Windows Classic so that Aero is not in use. Then copied the Aero theme files to another directory, renamed everything accordingly to "aeroMod" instead of "aero," made some changes using Windows 7 Style Builder and copied it back into the Resources/Themes folder. Basically, I want to keep the same windows 7 aero theme but change a few button images like the minimize, restore, and close buttons. I have attached the modified theme and msstyles files and also the images I used, with this post. BTW, I used images from a theme called "Dream" from deviantart.com. Here is the link to it: Dream for Win7 by ~giannisgx89 on deviantART
I want the shell buttons to be just like the Dream one but everything else like Aero.

I tested it and you have a corrupt .msstyles so you will need to start over.

I started over many times and as I said, I took the original msstyles file right out of the original aero theme. So how can it be corrupt to begin with? I'm probably not doing something right. Can you give me a link to a good tutorial or something for modifying themes like this?

I'm not sure what's causing you to get a corrupt .msstyles, being you have purchased this and have a valid license you can join their forum and get some help with the program there. Use the link in the middle of the page that you linked to to join their forum.

OK. Thanks for your assistance! :)
I think you're right. The program is making all these corrupt .msstyles files which it should not. I'll see if I can get any technical help from their forum.
