Okay... Something odd... For some reason the ulgy gray boxes are no loger showing up, but at the same time... they do.. Once in a while they will show up but most of the time they are not...
2 of 10 times they show up... Hmm...
My Visual Performance Settings:
All ON besides... "Fade or Slide ToolTips into veiw"

Never mind... It still doing it. And yes i did the regisristy hack to try to Force Aero. Should i remove the hack?Okay... Something odd... I would try turning off all the visual performance settings except the two we discussed. It sounds like your video is struggling with the registry change. This mod is putting a load on your video system and you have to lighten it as much as possible.
Turn them off one by one, doing an "Apply" for each change and checking the effect.
If it still does it, I'd remove the registry mod just in case it is straining the components too much.

I'd pull that registry mod then - it isn't helping and it sounds like it is stressing your system.

I did. and i noticed 2 things in teh reg.
Composition = 1
CompositionPolicy = 2
Would that serve any use?

I'm afraid with the hardware you have it would not.
My concern is that the registry change worked some of the time. That tells me that the system was stressing.
Running your system that hard can cause the video to fail completly, which arguably is worse than having to put up with the tabs...:)
