This is really odd, and I am running out of ideas.

This is from the tutorial give this a try exactly as it is posted.

Q: I installed the program but I can't see the process nor can I use a theme...help!
A: This normally is the result of not turning off UAC completely before installing the program. Uninstall UxStyle Core Beta from Programs and Features, restart the computer, turn off UAC, restart the computer, install UxStyle Core Beta, restart the computer. Your theme should work then.

Ok, ive done this 3 times and on the third time it actually seems to have worked. The original themes ive been trying to use over the coarse of doing this just dont work, but ive downloaded a few new ones that do seem to work.

Thanks a lot for all the help anyway, ive never had a problem like this before with windows 7 and was utterly stumped.

You're welcome, that is strange that that one theme did not work for you I downloaded it and it worked for me, who knows.
