Windows 7: Custom screensaver file read access right, network access

Custom screensaver file read access right, network access

I've creates my own custom screensaver (in Visual Studio 12 using WPF), which need access to network for check an weather and email check.

I've settings saved in two files. First one is NotifyScreensaver.scr.config, where I've only url to server, from which I take weather informations. The second one NotifyScreensaver.ini contains informations about screensaver (paths to backgrounds, mail settings - server, inbox folder, ...).

First of all I tried to check if it is running well in settings windows of screensavers as showed here: Screen Saver - Change and it is working perfectly (weather and mail are loaded in preview and you can set settings (username, password) without problem).

My problem is in real use, where it seems, that my screensaver cannot access these two files (or cannot access network - I don't know). I tried to add Logging to my screensaver, which worked perfectly in settings mode, but does not work in real use. So I think it can be missing rights to access to files or networks.

I've tried to find out, after which user account is windows running screensaver, but I cannot find out. I've one more solution to run screensaver as administrator and it is to create small exe application, where I call windows runas command with administrator settings, but I think it is ugly solution.

Screensaver is available in attached files. If you need source code, let me know.

In C:\Windows\system32 (where are stored screensavers), must be length of file name of screensaver less than 8 characters. I don't know why.
