Win 7 HP Themes wont change

    Win 7 HP 64bit SP1

    Suddenly having problems with Themes!
Installed a theme pac called "Terra Dynamic" and it has worked for several months, but I noticed just in the last few days it has stopped changing pictures (It's stuck on one picture).
Now I can't change themes at all!
I deleted the "Terra Dynamic" Theme in "MY Themes" but still cannot change themes!

I would appreciate any help, sorry in advance if this fix has been posted, as I did look around, but nothing I found seemed to work!

Hum N2 I would be uninstalling whatever you downloaded mate and start over.

You could try these for starters though

Thanks ICit2lol, I will try these!
But "Terra Dynamic" is just a Microsoft Theme that updates with new pictures, I believe.
I don't understand how this could effect the normal function of selecting a different theme!
    Thanks

Yes mate that is why I suggested those scans it probably seems like a long shot but at the very least it eliminates the possibilities:)

    Hi N2Abyss

I found this - may help

maybe your TranscodedWallpaper.jpg file has become corrupted.

Open explorer and type the following in the adress bar and hit Enter:

    %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\

    Here, rename TranscodedWallpaper.jpg to TranscodedWallpaper.old.

Next, double-click slideshow.ini file to open it with Notepad. Empty its contents. That is, select all the text and delete it. Save the changes. Close explorer windows.

    Stephanie, cannot find "slideshow.ini" file.
Can not search it, it is not in the file with TranscodedWallpaper.jpg

But even without finding or emptying the "slideshow.ini" file, I am now able to change themes again??

    Thanks

Confirm your problem is fixed? You may not have the slideshow.ini if you were not using the windows slideshow feature, but instead the theme was doing the changing. If all is working, then Stephanie's suggestion of the corrupted TranscodedWallpaper.jpg was correct, then that was the fix
