    It works for me.

    1st
Do Option 2 of this tutorial SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker it will not harm any data or programs you have installed it will try to find and repair any corrupt system files that you have( if you have changed any for a custom look they will be changed to default). You may need to do this up to 3 times with a reboot after each scan.

    2nd
Repatch with universal theme patcher make sure you use the one for x64, test the theme.

Thanks i'll run a scan now and report back. By the way, I tried to troubleshoot aero and it said it didn't support aero :S I also ran windows experience index and I got a 1/0 out of 1.9 for Aero? I have a Radeon 7850 at the moment as i'm still waiting for my 280x to arrive.

The 7850 should support Aero, are you using an onboard GPU?

Aero Requirements to be Enabled in Windows 7:
NOTE: If Aero is not enabled, then Transparency will not work even when enabled.
    • 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor
    • 1 GB of system memory
    • Support for DirectX 9 graphics with 128 MB memory (in order to enable Aero theme)
    • You must be have True Color (32 bit) set instead of High Color (16 bit).
    • The desktop composition and Animate controls and elements inside windows options need to be enabled in Visual Effects.
    • The Desktop Window Manager Session Manager and Themes Services need to be set as Started and Automatic.
    • Refresh or update your WEI score. You will need an WEI score minimum of 2.0 in both Graphics & Gaming graphics in order for Aero to be activated.

I think i've found the problem, Themes Services isn't starting automatically, well I can't even find it in services.msc

Edit: I tried to manually create a notepad file which will restore themes from here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...d-26d3cc95b1ef

I restarted and now I can see the themes service but it doesnt run and has a error code saying failed to read description, error code 1814
