where are these parts of windows explorer?
Where can I find these explorer elements to modify: the blue bar, the pane below the bar, and the flyout menu? I've been looking all over but I can't see where they could be.
Thanks,
Ellen

you should be able to find those by right clicking anywhere on the desktop and clicking on personalization. From there you should be able to access and customize the options, etc. on the way u want/need windows to look and feel. Try that and see if you get what you are looking for. If not, report back and i will try and clarify for ya what i can. Hope this helps.

Thanks, but that's not what I meant. "Personalization" is fairly superficial. Where are these items in msstyles or other files, so that I can replace them?
Blue bar:
Explorer & Shell > Explorer > CommandModule > <1>
Libraries pane:
Explorer & Shell > Explorer > CommandModule > <11>
Explorer & Shell > Explorer > CommandModule > <12>
Menu:
Lists, Menus & Tabs > Menu > PopUpBackground
Lists, Menus & Tabs > Menu > PopUpGutter
Lists, Menus & Tabs > Menu > PopUpSeparator

Thanks, Jerry. It can be so difficult tracking down what all these obscure sounding items are.
I modified the items you specified, but I still haven't been able to access the area of gray show in this attachment, behind the text. Do you know what controls that color?
Thanks
Toolbars, Headers & Rebar > Toolbars & Headers > Toolbar > Button > Normal
Toolbars, Headers & Rebar > Toolbars & Headers > Toolbar > Button > Hot
Toolbars, Headers & Rebar > Toolbars & Headers > Toolbar > Fillcolor

I've hit another snag in Explorer. I've changed the list view items everywhere I could find them, but I'm still getting the light blue selection box in Windows Explorer in the left pane. What is the location to edit these?
Thanks,
Ellen
