if I want to combine elements from different themes is it possible to use the .msstyle file from one theme with the .theme file from another?

probably not. you can both edit the .mssstyle and .theme files, but to pull elements out of both might be a problem.

I suggest you start a thread in the customization section where the wizards of gfx can see it.

    Good luck

You dont have to edit the .theme file. Unless you want to rename the theme etc. Other than that you can modify your msstyles as you wish without changing the .theme file.

.theme files is the files that makes the themes show in the Personalization menu. Without one of those you theme would not work. Theme files also is the place to change paths for file (ex. the msstyles position, If you rename a theme folder + the msstyles + the .msstyles.mui. to something else than default)

Yes and if you change the name of the folder and files you have to edit the .theme file to make the paths right. (to the msstyles file etc)

If you want to 'mix' your own theme take a look here
