First make a backup of the aero.msstyles file!!!
    What U need is :
    1. Restorator - for extracting/importing files in to aero.msstyles
    2. Some graphical software - that can edit png files.
    3. XVI32 - Hex editor for variant/normal color

1,2 are needed and 3 is optional because most of the colors are in png pictures.

When U have all that is needed
then copy aero.msstyles to some place easy for work/find
    -start restorator
-open aero.msstyles (look the left side)
    -find IMAGE and select it
-all basic and aero are in 508.png - 1108.png (picture 971.png is under STREAM)
In the earlier posts U can find the picture numbers for the start menu.
U need to edit only the white color on the pictures if U wish to replace only that.
Or U can download this pdf with some info what number is what picture (7600 win7 x64)
    Aero Pic-Id.pdf
This is crazy1 but can you suggest some Graphical editor as i got Restorator & Neo Hex Editor.

by the way i have only 2 GB ram so i guess the Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X3 works on less features

    This will do the job

As for vistastylebuilder, winowsblinds...or whatever theme editing software is a completely different process of doing it.
