I just ran into one article some may be interested in looking at on a National Geographic theme.

Download Free Windows 7 RTM National Geographic Wallpapers and Theme

In addition to the content on the Windows Personalization Gallery

Windows 7’s personalization options are undoubtedly one of the strongest points of the operating system, especially for those end users that value customization. But in this respect, the actual content offered for users to tailor the Windows 7 desktop in accordance with their preferences is simply world-class. The National Geographic magazine is offering a range of free wallpapers, essentially breathtaking examples of photography from around the world. TheWindowsClub went to all the effort to centralize the National Geographic wallpapers in a single package and release the NatGeo theme for Windows 7.
You can see the rest of that one at: Download Free Windows 7 RTM National Geographic Wallpapers and Theme - In addition to the content on the Windows Personalization Gallery - Softpedia

I just went for the wallpapers as well as theme to find some 212mb total in 4 separate folders! The one drawback was the max resolution at 1280x1024. That won't be helpful for those with slow connections or widescreen lcds unless placed on a widescreen neutral background.
