I was pretty surprised myself!
but it got the job done :)

I've never used the winrar features on the rightclick menu, for example, "compress to ____ and email" and chances are, I probably never will!

Im very glad that this was fixed without having to uninstall any programs.

What antivirus are you using? I have seen AVG cause slow response when right clicking files in a folder with many objects.

Also, there is a way to customize or disable those winrar context menu items from within winrar itself.

My machines have Winrar 3.81 beta and 3.90 with menu addons and nothing is slow at all. Glad it fixed it for you though. :D

WinRAR 3.8 context items loused up am earlier build for me as well. 3.9 in RTM - no problem. The earlier build, since forgotten, did not tolerate many context menu entries well. I am still flinching when I add a new one, even though there is no current negative affect.
