3 days until automatic activation notice

Just upgraded my Compaq laptop from Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium through download. New at this and never knew there would be a crisis. What now? Do I hit Activate Windows Now link? Or Change Product key? Any help is greatly appreciated. Bernie

It depends how you've obtained your copy. Windows 7 is not free, and if you bought it - it should have come with a key. You can't just download and use it for longer than the trial period (30 days) otherwise. If you have a key - use "activate now"
