access denied to documents

I usually save passwords on Wordpad but it's developed that when I try to save a new entry I get this message 'access denied'. If I make a new file in wordpad then I can save the new entry. Ideas? Win Vista and IE 9

right click on file on look at "security options". adjust security and apply. or just copy/paste in new file.

Where are you saving the file? Is it in your Documents folder?
