HP 3015 All-in-One has worked fine for years, plugged into wife's PC. Yesterday it stopped communicating and the error message; "Active Directory Domain Services unavailable" is cryptic. This error is discussed in various internet fora but no solution found is pertinent to my problem.
- Printer prints a test page from itself - i.e. machine is apparently functional
- uninstalled and reinstalled printer. After re-install there are issues and the troubleshooter fixes them and sets printer as default. It still does not respond to PC calls, which appear in the queue with Error.
- Windows up to date with SP1.
- No new driver available from HP.
