I'm running windows 7 RTM on a P4 3.4GHz and most movies that use the flash player plugin in either internet explorer or firefox are pretty choppy in full screen mode. High Definition movies from youtube are completely unwatchable. These movies played fine when I was running windows XP on this same system. I have the latest plugin and the latest video card driver for my Geforce 7800GS. Any ideas how to resolve this? Thanks!

could you fill in your system specs (lower left corner) so that we know what hardware you have. Also is it a clean install? 32bit or 64?

Mercurial, well the system plays Hi Def vids just fine if I use VLC media player. It's just flash vids played through the browsers that have a problem like from youtube.

It's a clean install of 32Bit RTM Windows 7 Ultimate.

I found that if I right click on the vid while it's not in full screen mode and goto settings | display and uncheck enable hardware acceleration, it will then play smoothly in full screen mode although it doesn't look very nice. Must be a bug in the nvidia display driver with hardware acceleration.

I figured out that the problem was malwarebytes. I had the registered version that has the protection running in the background. It must have a problem with windows 7 cause I uninstalled it and videos are very smooth in full screen.
