Solved Alternative To Windows Sidebar / Gadgets

G'Day All,

Thanks in advance for your help, I always Google but after 3 days of searching, I given up.

I've recently built this system for my brother who used to use the windows gadget that looks like a speedometer to monitor the cpu/memory usage. Now that he has 4 cores and windows gadgets have been discontinued, can anyone recommend a suitable alternative?

He's looking for something simple that shows how much of the individual cores/ memory is being used, that is displayed on the desktop.

Thank you for your response. It's taken from 8pm to 12pm to customise it just the way he likes but finally got it right. He liked the "circular" theme but just wanted CPU and memory monitor so the hours were spent finely tuning the plans coding to design a circle with semi-circular bars and the writing on the inside so the bars are filling up on the outside of the circle.

You're welcome Dan, Rainmeter has endless possibilities, I have learned to do a little bit of editing of the skin but have a tough time making my own someday I'll learn how to do that coding.
