Alternative to WMP ?

KM seems nice but I dont like the Winamp-style players.. why? I like the WMP interface, all integrated and easy to select. I will keep QMP until a good player comes by... the only bad thing is that it doesn't sync with iphone =(
It is not a winamp style player...which is funny because AIMP is a winamp clone that you like after stating you dont like winamp style players. HMMM contradictory. You need to use the RC version on KMPlayer, the "stable" download is really old. They just have not officalized the RC versions although I have never found fault in them. Use the modern skin and you can make it WMP style with a simple skin!

I use KM and SM player for movies and Foobar2000 for music.

In previous period I used to play movies with MV2 player, it comes without built-in codecs, unlike today's players, and it had great potential, but it's development has been stopped few years ago.

Hi there
Winamp is quite good and so is Mediamonkey.

Both not free uinfortunately but don't cost much.

Winamp also has nice ripping facilities and can play FLAC directly.

Cheers

Well let me explain my though...

The problem with the NEW winamp is the library... I liked the way the old winamp managed the music (just 1 playlist open)... I don't get the idea of the library, I'm just the guy that will shuffle ALL the songs, so the library is RAM and HD waste.

AIMP is just as the old Winamp, and fully customizable, so it seems nice.

AND that's the good thing about opinions: you can change it whenever you want =)

winamp for music - mainly because of great visuals (particularly milkdrop) and its skinnability :geek: i've never bothered with the media library - i usually right-click folders in explorer or dbl-click individual files. i've always been an explorer-holic, i've generally got quite a few open somewhere...

Media Player Classic - Homecinema is the ticket. Winamp's GUI just isn't cut out for video playback and I've always found VLC to be lacking when it comes to user controls.

Media Player Classic looks and acts like WMP because it's basically an updated version of one of the old WMP clients. I have had windows 7 installed since the public release of the beta and I've never opened WMP, just use MPC-homecinema.

+1 Media Player Classic Homecinema:
Media Player Classic - Home Cinema - Video Player
