Alternative touchpad driver for Toshiba Satellite Pro S500-14M?

I am disappointed with the ALPS touchpad driver which Tosihba provides for my laptop and have tried Synaptics' drivers but they do not seem to be compatible (Scrolling does not work).

The issue with the ALPS touchpad driver is that it does not support continuous scrolling, which is a must-have in my opinion.

Are there by any chance any alternative drivers which at least support continuous scrolling and are compatible with my laptop?

I've googled alot, but to no avail...

Thanks in advance - Brutality

Welcome to SevenForums,

Is this the driver not working?: Alps Electric Windows 7-64 Bit v7.x5.303.213.

Some reporting that sometimes the Flash Card Reader have to be restarted, for certain keyboard abilities to function correctly.

All Programs=>Toshiba=>Utilities=>Toshiba Flash Card

You have to check box then apply OK and then unchecked the fonction box, apply OK again.

BTW, looks like your Toshiba have a newer Bios update from February 2012 v3.30-WIN

I saw also some Toshiba laptops have a TouchPad Software Utility pre-installed.

I do not know if yours have one.

And can't you access to the parameters of the TouchPad through the Control Panel?

Have a look at this thread.

It is for a Sony Viao, but there's useful information (# post 3) that could help sorting out the TouchPad.
