Good morning everyone. I have an interesting concern.
On another message board, I asked which would be a great card for the Sims 3 that isn't two expensive, but would allow me to max out the settings. Someone told me the 6670 would be an excellent card. Boy were they wrong! The camera continued to stutter when moving around, although the visuals were crisp. I screwed with every setting and resolution but nothing improved! It really made me angry.
I looked around other forums and others were saying that it's a common problem with newer graphics cards, however, others are saying they have no problems at all.
In response, I decided to return the 6670 and purchase a 6870. Do you guys think this would make a significant difference in performance? I would have liked to download a Demo, but Origin only has the online version which obviously doesn't test the GPU's abilities.
I was so angry! I have a 1st generation quad core and DDR2 ram, but so do lots of other people who play the game without problems. I think it would be absurd to buy an even more expensive graphics card because of this problem. I mean, come on, this game isn't that much of a hog.
