Anybody else get this notification from IE?

Saw it this morning after waking my computer from sleep.

Yes I get that too. I've just launched IE for the first time since Patch Tuesday.

Accepting the prompt changes registry as shown by real time registry monitor:

You can also change the IE home page in Internet Properties. To do that open Control Panel select Internet Options & on the General Tab & in the Home Page panel change it to the one you want.

If you have IE open you are on your desired Home Page, click on the Start Button to open Control Panel & then open Internet Options & follow the direction above & it should have your current Home Page showing, click on the Use Current button & then select Apply button at the bottom.

I got that too. I wonder if this is some kind of lame attempt by M$ to get users back onto bing. They are starting to lose my favor. If that's why we got this then that is really sad.

I got the same screen on the first reboot after the latest updates were installed (and that reboot was done). It's another nag from MS to try to get you to use MS' home page and search engine. Fortunately, you can choose to keep what you already are using.

I also got this message after installing the update. Problems with the subsequent work I have not encountered.

Kind of interesting it says for now on ie will stop "websites" from changing the settings
I've never had a website attempt to change settings
Other browsers sure as usual.

I've seen websites try to change your homepage to their page.
