Anyone notice Virtual Machines fragment their hdd a lot

I'm using VMware Player and I notice my VMs need to be defragged in the client. Plus it also fragments the host computers HDD they are on a lot. I didnt have to run windows defragmenter that much before

If you had another program that wrote to the HD as much as a guest os you would notice the same thing.

Sure, if your guests are set to use dynamic disks and they grow...of course that will lead to fragmentation. Of course, I've rarely found that frequent defrags have really ever lead to increased performance with modern harddrives that are not nearing full capacity.
