Apple demanded Microsoft to stop its Laptop Hunters ads

I for one always go with MS.... it's the least problematic OS I've ever seen..., SOrry not a linux Guy.... Never felt easy with Linux....

Linux maybe complicated (if you don't know linux), but once you get the hang of it, you can't beat the stability and small foot print it has. Linux has come a long way, from no GUI to being able to have linux with or without GUI. But, back on topic, Apple has got to be kidding thinking they can bully MS to quit, especially after running those MAC vs PC commercials (and still running them) for so long.

Err about Apple MP3 players... They are overpriced pieces of ****... I own a Sansa E200 series and that thing tops an iPod Nano of the same capacity in every way (at the time of purchase anyway, it still does in most ways). I can play radio, music, view photos, record radio, record voice, and the thing is tougher than snot. It has literally survived falls from moving vehicles to see the light of a new day with little to no damage.

Sure, new iPods have the fancy accelerometer built in, but for $90 USD, they can't beat an 8 GB Sansa. Not in durability, or in features. Hell, I never even heard of a Nano going for less than $145 USD.

I for one feel that Mac users are generally good at specific tasks, while PC (Win/Lin) users are more adventurous.

Take a rat in a maze. You run him through it long enough, he can do it blind folded. Mac users are like that. The things that Macs allow them to do, they do great. But everything else they suck at.

And no, PCs do not require a higher level of expertise. There's just so much more you can do with them, you need to learn.

Ever notice that you can buy a PC for under a $1000, but not a Mac?

On that budget, I will take a PC.

As Said earlier I'll always stick to MS PCs but never Macs
but u know something about Project Beryl or Compiz in Linux, I've seen videos and I feel MS is no where in designing Desktop Interface...

nice ad as always from apple, and as always directly antagonistic.

I used to be a real mac addict, but firstly I fould that W7 is absolutely rock solid, and secondly it's these apple personal attack ads that are actually putting me off them and their product range.

I wonder how long before Apple sees virus' the like of which it's never seen, and the sad fact is that all of it's user base will be so utterly unprepared for it thinking that the big cloud of smug above their heads will protect them.

I really am beginnning to hope that 7 is everything apple fears from MS (apart from the aesthetics of course, but oh well).

Eventually there will be a massive Mac virus threat. The apparent "immunity" of Macs in this arena is due to their small market share. Why would a hacker spend the time developing a virus that targets only 6% of computer users (OS X), when they could just as easily write a virus that targets 93% of computer users (Windows). Virus spreaders and creators do it for the "fun" of disrupting people's lives, and thus they will target the platform with which they can disrupt MORE people's lives.

When people have really wanted to crack a Mac (like at hacking conventions/contests) they can usually do it in just a few minutes. The Windows computers at the same conventions/contests take one or two days to infect.

And BTW, Windows 7 has a much better-looking interface than Mac OS. Windows 7 has live transparency with custom colors. Mac OS has ... gray. Bleh. I've always found the fancy Mac FX like the Time Machine screen and Cover Flow to be more gimmicky than practical, but that's just my opinion of course. :)
