Application hanging

Computer is a laptop. Dig unplug adapter and remove battery for like 10mins. That has worked in the past but not this time. Remove and reseat RAM is not really easy without affecting warranty being a laptop.

unseated ram is common for hanging systems on laptops and if your concerned about warranty then call the people who hold your warranty and ask them if you can do it without voiding it ??

it's definately an avenue worth pursuing

Would not unseated RAM also be a problem in safe mode? Safe mode runs fine.

Changed HP power profile to wasteful (my embellishment) and seems to be better? Go figure. It used to work fine in HP recommended. Must have been either a W7 upgrade or possibly a N360 virus anti-computer upgrade? Was getting ready to uninstall the latter, but cross the fingers all is lightening fast now. Thanx to all who offered suggestions, until next issue over and out.

yes hmm guess i missed that in your first post
