I have an Asus USB-AC51 which is a USB wi-fi adapter.
It comes with a CD with software to install, but I have read reports online that it causes a BSOD on boot!
Also if I look at the Asus web site, the most recent option is a package to download and install, dated 2015-10-19.
I'd prefer to find another solution rather than risk trying this out and then spend time repairing it.
In W10, no installation is needed - I just plug it in and W10 finds a driver, installs and it is ready to go!
The W10 driver that it uses appears to be a generic microsoft windows driver, 5.1.22.0 dated 2015-04-21.
W7-64 cannot find the driver for it. Is there a way to find if there is a generic driver that will work under W7 with this device?
Thank you
