Solved ASUS vs MSI - GTX 580

I have a ASUS Motherboard P6X58D-E socket 1366 running the MSI GTX460 card smoothly. I prefer ASUS Motherboards to MSI. Its just the brand card no big difference the way I see it. You won't make a mistake going for either one of those cards. Maybe google and read some reviews and ratings that should give you an indication.

Alright then, looks like I'm going with the MSI cos it looks cooler than the ASUS. :) It also comes pre overclocked for only a few extra bucks, so my decision is set. Thanks for your help guys.

The cards both have a 3yr warranty, and the ASUS is about $5 cheaper than the MSI... I dont think space will be too much of a problem, so I'd probably choose the MSI (it looks cooler :D ). Has anyone used these cards on their own PC? Id like to know of their exeperiences and so on (any features that you liked/disliked etc.)

MSI'es production of video cards has vast experience although in recent years the market resembles mainly Asus or EVGA.
In comparison, the MSI model would be a definite decision because of the external cooling features installed. Chrome/aluminum layers are optimal for extensive hardware use.
It really comes down to personal opinion as each of these manufacturer's are excellent.

will there be any problems if i try to put an MSI card on to an ASUS mobo?

No.
