Hi

I am having a lot of problems with the sound recording from my webcam and using skype , it seems to be a windows problem ! , when I go to manage sound devices I get the screen shot as per below but every time I unmute and slide the sound along it just goes back to mute and the slider goes to 0 .

cheers

The first thing I see is you only have "High Definition Audio Devices" which usually (in every case I've seen) means you only have the generic, basic function, Windows installed sound driver. First step is to install the correct sound hardware driver (for example Realtek, IDT, Conexant, etc).

From your System Specs, check Intel for a sound driver.
