Try running a malware scan. When you rightclick on a file; what options do you get?

Try running an on-line scan with Kaspersky's free on-line scanner;

Kaspersky Security Scan | Kaspersky Lab United States

Kaspersky is a well respected AV software company and generally gets high marks for its detection rate.

Your welcome. You want to know if it's a virus. The only way to know is to run the programs like I posted in my #8. Their are many others but these two work very well for many, and they are free.

Same double click = delete prompt

I assumed it was some undetectable virus, so I reloaded windows 7, however, the problem persisted. Next I changed hard drives with another load of windows 7, and it still wants to delete anything i double click on... So now i am guessing that the remote keyboard is the likely villain. Is anyone else with this problem using a remote keyboard?

I have Dell latitude E5440. When i clicked to any icon, it always asked me "Are you sure you want to remove this file to the recycle Bin? New computer and New installed windows. Problem was "Delete" key on keyboard. That key was incredible sensitive. When you make CTRL+ALT and touch/ even blow the Delete key. It made that command proper:))) I changed my keyboard and problem fixed.
