Belkin N wireless Modem router problems

hi has anyone had this problem and if yes how to fix I have brand new router set it up connected 2 laptops was working fine for 4 days switched laptop on today no internet connection checked connections the router had switched from plusnet home network to bt wifi with FON public unsecured network. how did this happen and how to stop it happening again.I unplugged to router from power for 1 min pluggeg back in it re set back to plusnet home network secured wpa2. all help welcome thanks.

well check and make sure your network security settings are all right and in place. Also, check the wireless settings on the laptop and make sure it is always set to connect your "home" network or wherever the network may be located. You might try resetting the settings to default also and try connecting everything again. Keep in mind you will probably have to re-enter any custom settings such as network name, passphrase for the network and also set up the proper security settings. I cant help you with the security settings however as i do not know how the belkin routers are set up.Post back here if needed.
