I have used Crucial for years. They are part of Micron who manufactures the chips. On their web site there is a search feature and it will match the ram to your motherboard and they guarantee it will work.

Corsair doesn't make IC's. Which particular IC's vendors like Corsair use varies from kit to kit. Sometimes Corsair uses Hynex, sometimes they use Samsung or Infineon. You can never tie one particular IC maker to one vendor, because they're always changing which IC's they use.
