Best browser for Windows 7 64-bit

64 Bit browsers still lacks the ability to play flash videos. Adobe.... we're waiting.

Downloaded Google Chrome last night, definitely faster and snappier than FF in 7 64-bit.

Still having some lag with youtube videos in full screen though, I suppose that's an issue with my video driver.

No problems under win7 64bit.. Works like a charm.
No fuss..no muss.

IE? Junk. (Dont get me started...)
Opera. Last testing I read is that its slow (But I still get a kick out of it)
Chrome. Havent tried quite honestly. Since FF with the core plugins have never given me a hard time, I stick with it.

I ran the PeaceKeeper thingy on a bunch of browsers..

Chrome 3.0 - Stable
Chrome 4.0 - Latest Dev
Safari 4 (latest)
Firefox 3.5.3
Opera 10.00
IE8 - Pathetic

It took me by surprise that the Stable Chrome took the lead over the Latest Dev Chrome.

I'm using Firefox 3.5...It's no surprise Chrome is so fast, there's nothing to it!!! You forgot I.E. 8 64-bit browser, it's like twice as fast as 32-bit...I'm going to try Minefield.

Thanks

I'm using Google Chrome. The best browser out there! Fast and reliable. I haven't given Opera 10 a shot yet, but it seems like it's got great support with Win 7.

sorry chrome is fine if you want a browser with almost no features.

What features do you need that chrome doesnt have? In day to day life chrome should be enough.

Well I attempted to use a 64-bit version of IE8 in that test but it didn't want to test it as its own browser (wasn't registering it as different from the 32-bit) so.. :p

Well Chrome actually does support some plugins but it requires a bit of tinkering and googling.

Most seem to act like they'd die if they had to live without their adblock ;)

Exactly my point. I want a browser, not plugins.

The only time i like being without the Fifefox add-ons that i have installed is when i am browsing anonymously. If anyone is interest these are the FF add-ons I use.

Adblock Plus, Colorful Tabs, Cooliris, Faviconize Tab, Flagfox, Forecastfox, BBCode, IE Tab, Nightly Tester Tools, Rdown, Tab Mix Plus, Youtube Cenema, BBcodeXtra, NASA Night Launch, Youtube Downloader, Fission

Plus a few tweaks to the about:config

I think in about a year Chrome and Opera will really be able to give FF a real run for the money. As for IE8 Microsoft should finally bury the dead beast once and for all.:D:D

'M using the Chrome 3.something (latest stable version) for daily browsing - it has surperior screen estate and sleekness, and properly working zoom, which is all that matters to me. Also, all videos and games play perfectly on that. And downloads are handled neatly.

For Microsoft sites and sites where the Chrome has some sort of error (happens rarely, but happens), I just use the built-in IE8. Ever since the Firefox 2.0, I've begun not liking it at all, in my mind it is just as cluttered as IE8.

For shady sites and potentially harmful occasions (like if I have to check a website in .ru domains), I do have FireFox 3.5 with NoScript and Adblock. But I use it very rarely.

Mozzilla Browser ?

Mozzila is good but when you start adding plugins and other stuff it really slows down and tends to crash alot more for me so I use Chrome and it kicks butt super fast and light weight. There correct about Chrome.

I like Opera the most honestly, because its mouse gestures. I think Firefox has, but then you have to add stuff. -_- I had to much trouble with Firefox that i gave up. (unless someone can change my mind). I would jump over to Chrome if it had mouse gestures features, also again I havent seen if any. It makes my life way better then having to move my left hand to press backspace or move my mouse cursor to the [<-] Box.

IE8- is used by force for school/and email and to add feeds for Windows Live Hotmail.

Windows 7, have yet to reinstall :)
What are your guy's opinions on the browser selection for Windows 7?

I'm currently running Firefox 3.5.3, but I'm not happy with its performance in 64-bit Windows. I get a lot of crashes while watching videos, and poor performance (some full screening some videos will result in lag).

Does anyone know if Chrome run better in 7?

Chrome is a Joke!
