Best CPU cooler for i5 3570k to overclock with?

I have mine oriented bass-ackwards from how it says you are suppose to install it. I have it pulling cold air in from outside the case and pushing it through the rad with a 200mm fan in the top that sucks it right back out.


So it's: Case/Fan/Rad

I`ll do it the same way and add a dust filter to the outside of the case.
I have 2 140`s at the top.
Did you have to add those silver spacers yourself ?

I put clear plexi on the side, I hated the vented piece.
Maybe I`ll start putting the new board in on Monday.

I also HATE the side panel on my case......it has 2 mounting spots for 120mm fans and it looks just awful. I have been thinking about a piece of smoked glass as a replacement.

The new gear is going to run smokin well in that case. if it was me I would still run the Corsair pulling air from inside and exhausting or try it both ways to see which gives the best performance. I've found that good micro filters will slow air substantially through the rad. IMHO its better to have quiet powerful air flow and clean more regularly then to constantly cleaning the filters especially in the back or bottom that rarely get checked.

I`m still on the fence about which rad to get, but I really like the Intel model.

Good point though, with all the fans I got in this thing, hot air is not an issue at all.

Exactly and in a properly large case with good fans creating good air flow from the front low point and exhausting at the top and rear creates the best flow....IMHO.

Yep off the board. I did some cable management on mine. When I removed the usb3 cord the whole header came of the board. Very tiny pins and my reading glasses still were not enough to realign those pins. I still have it, thought about getting a magnifying glass but haven't wasted the effort as it was only for two posts on the top of my case. I still have the ones on the back and all my usb sticks and external hd's are usb2 so it wasn't priority.
