I have 211 updates to install. Wanted to get some expert opinion. Is it best to let it take its course and install all at once or do it in smaller sections? If smaller sections is better, approximately how many per section and is there a particular order (maybe by KB number)? I'm not having an issue at this time. I was just trying to see whats the best way.

This is just an FYI and has nothing to do with my question.
FYI: After recovery, I received a few updates and installed them. Then I got the message that a client/agent needed to be installed (no way around it). I said ok and that's where problems started. I did a restore back to before it installed to get rid of it. The Windows Update Agent is 7.6.7600.320 and its all over the Internet with people having issues with it immediately after it installs. Anyway, after restoring back to get rid of it, I installed IE11 (was at IE8 because of recovery) and then installed Kb3102810. It took almost 5 hours and once it was done I have my 211 updates. Just thought I would put this out there.

It's best just to let it take it's course & install all of them. Doing it piecemeal by hand is time consuming. But do keep in mind recent reports have been quoting hours & hours to install updates after a fresh install, so be prepared for a slow job.

During the update procedure the computer will probably do a number of restarts, do don't be alarmed.

Took 2.5 hours to install 211 updates. Not bad.

Just finished doing this - installed in 20s with restart after each batch - was selective on optional updates and did not install the Win 10 irritating notification KB3035583 since I have no intention of going to 10 then upgraded IE9 to IE11 which seems to be a better visual setup for my WMC.
