Solved Best recovery software? (Windows 7)

Hey sevenforums.com,

I messed up and made a mistake and deleted some photos which I really needed

can anyone recommend me any good recovery software? Paid or free I don't care as long as the program gets the job then. I am using Windows 7 64 bit

No it was a format and I forgot to back up those files.

Am back!
And with good & bad news
The good news I got all my photos back and some music which I thought I lost
Bad news the jpeg are corrupt How would I fix this?
I used minitools 6.6

I tried Zar and was not so lucky it only found some of the images and the file size was wrong.

I have never had to use it myself, so I wasn't sure of the capabilities. Just figured it wouldn't hurt to try. I'm not sure what can be done for corrupted image files, but maybe someone else will have an idea.

I hope so too! Everything else works
Music and Videos work fine just the photos don't view

Thanks so much for your links!
But sadly none of them worked for me (The links work fine I was talking program wise)

I don't understand why my images are corrupt like this when I recovered them the program said the images were fine and not overwritten or anything like that.

If anyone else has any ideas please I would love to hear them. I really need the files. :huh:

If you're tempted to use one of the online recovery services -- be very wary! I had some videos trashed (family vacation videos), and I found an online service that, if you sent the videos to them, they would recover 30 seconds of each one for free. Then, once you viewed the free ones, you paid them to recover the rest of the data.

I made the mistake of doing that and paid nearly $80 for NOTHING! My guess is that, whatever happens, the first 30 seconds or so of a video is probably always OK -- its the remainder that gets corrupted. The so-called "fixed" versions were no better than the corrupted originals.

Jumanji Your Awesome! I did what you said and I tried PhotoRec and followed that link waited 8 hours :sarc:
But in the end it was worth it! Thanks to you I got every photo back ! And there is no errors or nothing, Thank you so much Jumanji you have really helped me out


Makes me think how company's out there ask for $50-$90 for recovery software which fails and this PhotoRec is free and did the job!

I hear you Mark I was going to give up and try this but the company asked for $60 per 10 photos :l And with my budget I won't get far. Give PhotoRec a try?
