mfgr warranty? emmmmm.... maybe/maybe not - IMHO its not worth the hassle some mfgrs can offer, plus the wait, and they MAY try to may you pay to ship. Just destroy it if necessary for security purposes (and surgically remove the rare earth neodymium (nickel-plated) magnet pair which encapsulates the drive head motor shaft....on second thought, YOU should just trash it!!!)
