Dear Members,

Please can you help me with the following?

I have windows 7 64 Bit Ultimate on my Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop, which has stared to give me a little 'BLUE SCREEN' grief (see below windows un-expected shutdown details):

-------------------------------------------

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID: 2057

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 3b
BCP1: 00000000C000001D
BCP2: FFFFF88000000000
BCP3: FFFFF88008BD3470
BCP4: 0000000000000000
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 256_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\101413-18501-01.dmp
C:\Users\Lappy\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-75426-0.sysdata.xml

-------------------------------------------

This problem seems to occurs when either:

a) Plugging in a usb device,
b). Removing in a usb device, and
c). Going into show hidden items at the bottom right side pop-up and selecting 'safely removing hardware or eject media'.

I would highly welcome a solution and many thanks in advance for reading this thread and replying.

Regards, Jonathan

Dear Members,

Thank you ALL for your input.

It appeared to be a windows update that confused the laptop's software on the following:

Bluetooth,
Printer,
Anti-virus (BitDefender Total Security),
Windows Defender, and
USB Drivers.

After more trial and error and the enlisted help from the Microsoft tech adviser and did his magic, it's working perfectly.

Shocking really, over one widows update fcuked my laptop up and created a bald spot on my head as I was pulling it out (joke).

Again, thank you all for your continued help and advise throughout.

Kind regards, Jonathan

P.S. I have not got a clue how to end these threads, so can someone PM me on how to do such, as this matter is now solved.
