Solved Bluetooth types

I have a bluetooth jam spk that works with one blue tooth dongle but not others.
I borrowed a bluetooth mouse dongle from another laptop and plugged it into my laptop and the jam spk works. Bought a bluetooth CSR 4.0 dongle and it does not work. What is the difference with usb bluetooth dongles.

Thanks, I have read that but it did not explain why I can plug in one bluetooth that worked but another did not. I solve the problem by going to "control panel" and searching for bluetooth, and adding bluetooth there. It found the jam. When I tried "device and printers" it could not find it. Strange but at least it works now.
