Solved BOSD after useing magic partition error code 0x0000007b...

Yes, of course it does.

If you have now marked your Windows partition active, try running startup repair from the win7 repair cd/install dvd.

You will probably need to run it a couple of times.

That should do the job and save you having to bother running commands.

In partition wizard richtclick on OS parition and select "explore". Do you see files? If so fine.
Mark that partition active.

And apply the changes

Now boot into win7 recovery environment and do a "startup repair". This places bootmgr on OS partition. and BCD store as well. It sees WIN7 in the list?

Do startup repair 3 times, to correct everything

diskpart????? It's just the bootmgr file that isn't there. And most likely BCD has to be rebuild. Why diskpart?

oops

holy crap.... that was for another post.... sorry

this is actual command

If that doesn't work, you can substitute that command for the following list (i.e. run the following commands if /fixmbr did not work):

Bootrec.exe /FixBoot --- Writes a boot sector onto the system partition to start Windows

Bootrec.exe /ScanOs ---- Scans all disks for Windows installations and displays them.

Bootrec.exe /RebuildBcd --- Scans all disks for Windows installations and prompts you to pick the ones you want to add to the BCD.

startup repair does that automatically! MBR and bootsector are all fine btw

Which partition manager did you use in the first place?

I don't know of one called "magic partition"

Yes, I thought it might have been.

Not surprised you got into trouble.

It is no longer supported , not be used on NT6 o/s.
