Quite possible the motherboard disc had some old/incompatible software/drivers. We usually recommend installing the latest software and drivers from the motherboard's support site and avoiding the disc as it is outdated by the time the motherboard is bought.

Very good advice writhziden.

First make a backup image of your new minimum install, if any of your software is causing these issues then you can restore the backup.
Much easier than installing the OS, installing the updates, installing your apps again.
Use Macruim Reflect it is a great Image Backup utility and free.

Install your apps a couple at a time, wait a while to see if it crashes. Then you will know which one is causing you problems.
Be careful when installing iTunes, test it thoroughly, it is known to cause BSoDs on some systems.
