BSOD 0x00000124 -New Build-happens during gaming

New build about 2 weeks old has Windows 7 pro 64bit. BSOD 2 times, first during a few hours of battlefield 3 and the second during borderlands 2. The computer is auto overclocked and temperatures for the cpu get up to 40C, motherboard 30C and video card 67-70C. I attached all the info i could in the grab all application. I have done a memory test MDSCHED and chkdsk on my 2 hardrives.

Super frustrating especially with a brand new build. At least if i can figure out the culprit i can replace the component.

You did mentioned it BSOD 2 times.. but the upload has only 1 BSOD ??

The BSOD refers to GCACHEL2_ERR_ERR ( or Error in L2 cache in your Processor)... And sure enough the system shutdown due to high temps ie. 378K or 104.85 deg C.. below is the event taken from the logs .. Thats really hot...

Are you sure the thermal paste is applied properly ??
Please use HwMonitor to post a snapshot of the temps

Then update your BIOS to Version 0711

thank you so much i used your monitoring system and sure enough the cpu went straight up to 60 celsius. The asus one that comes with my motherboard says it stays around 40 no matter what so I'm not sure why that one is so far off. But yea when me and my friend put this together the cpu cooler was the hardest part to put on and we used arctic silver and i have the 212 hyper evo on their but we probably messed up the thermal when we put that on.

I attached the posted temp picture shows that it goes up to 60 while playing games for 4 minutes or so.

Do you think my processor is messed up now because of how hot it got?

Also it has done this 2 times so I'm not sure why it saved the one probably over wrote the first one

I would suggest you reapply the thermal paste properly again

Have you updates the BIOS ???

Have not done the bios update yest, but did reapply the thermal paste running AID64 stability test and the cpu is staying around 55-60C. Also did a prime 95 test and it went up to 85-90C (is this to hot i was not sure). Idle it is around 30C. Yea when me and my friend put it together he put the whole tube of thermal paste on there. So i had a fun night getting it all off with qtips and coffee filters, reapplied the thermal paste and put it back together and lucky it seems to be fine now. Thank you again.
