Hi all,

I am having random BSOD's on the above combo, not heat/CPU load related, they are all the same report (below).

My system is:

Motherboard : Asus M5A78L-M/USB3
CPU : AMD FX-4170
Memory : 8GB (1x 4GB and 2x 2GB)
OS : Windows 7 Professional x64

I have tried different memory and have ensured that the BIOS is the latest version. The PSU is brand new (though I guess it could be faulty!). I bought the motherboard and CPU off eBay, though they claimed the CPU hadn't been overclocked I guess I can't be sure.

Without going through the expense of buying a different motherboard and CPU to see which is at fault, is there anything that I could try to see what might be causing this?

I am currently in the process of running Prime95 but am not sure what I am looking for.

Any advice/suggestions would be welcome at this stage.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Sorry, I thought I had done it properly, here it is again.

I have unfortunately cleared the logs, but what I have noticed since my original post and after further investigation, there were a large amount of Event 19 WHEA's in there. There is one already in there since I cleared them.

I did save the logs before clearing, so I can upload the previous event log if necessary.

Thanks for your help.
