Solved BSOD after Flash Update and crashes when on Browser

My Computer keeps crashing whenever I'm browsing through a website that uses a lot of videos, mostly Tumblr. This never happened until I decided to update my Adobe Flash player. The new updated version keeps making me get BSOD.

I've down a system restore before in order to relieve the issue, but I don't want to be stuck on an old version of Adobe Flash forever.

Any help would be appreciated!

hello SonX, welcome to Seven forums. Let me see if I can help you. You only had 3 dump files, all dated in July of this year. Please make sure you computer is configured to create Small Memory Dumps.
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/174459-dump-files-configure-windows-create-bsod.html

Also please open a elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

Until we get this figured out, please set everything you have overclocked back to default levels.

Your system specs state you have a Samsung EVO SSD. If you have not done so yet, there is a performance restoration Firmware upgrade that resolves some problems at Samsung SSD Downloads | Samsung SSD . Please upgrade your SSD.

Just in case you would like to know, the 3 dump files from July were all the same.

Thanks for the advice!

I actually have other dump files that I pulled out. I didn't realize that they wouldn't be copied if I did that haha. I attached them to see if they are significant.

I also did the sfc /scannow command like you suggested, and the good news is that there were no errors!

As for the Samsung fix, yes I was aware of the firmware update. I've already applied it a while back in October I believe.

I will update if there are anymore BSODs now that I stopped the CPU overclock. Maybe it will help so we'll see.

Yeah sorry about that. I actually moved the dump files before I posted here, right after I restarted my computer from the BSODs. Mostly because I thought I wouldn't be able to find them again. I put them back in the right place, but there was also XML files that I pulled out of the temp folder. Do I have to put those back too?

Ok, I put back the files, but when I tried to run the program, I got an error that said the files were empty. My dmp files were previously set to kernal dmp when I expereinced the BSODs, but I changed the settings to minidump like you said. I clicked the "overwrite existing files" option. Did that mess with the dmp files?

I also switched it back to kernel and got this zip file that is attached to this post.

Which is your graphics card drivers. Try updating them to the latest WHQL version, but do it this way and see if it helps.

I am going to give you some links that will help you get a good clean install and not have any drivers you don't need that will conflict with other drivers. Download a WHQL driver from http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-cards/329659-latest-amd-catalyst-video-driver-windows-7-a.html . Once you have them downloaded, uninstall you current driver from control panel. next clean up any left over drivers from following this tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/83814-drivers-clean-left-over-files-after-uninstalling.html and select only ATI Display Drivers. After you have done that and rebooted, install the new driver, only select custom install and install only what you have to. Very few people need most of what they include. You do not need the audio/HDMI drivers as you already have that in your Motherboard drivers. Unless there is some reason you need them, the only thing you really need is the Display Driver.

I had a feeling my display drivers the problem. I've tried uninstalling them before, but I don't know how successful I was. I'll try out this method and update if anything else happens. Thanks again for the help! :)

That method will give you as clean as an install as we can get. Then just install what you actually need. Many of the other drivers they usually install are not needed and already have those drivers installed. By not installing them, it will reduce the possibility of s driver conflict with the Motherboard drivers.

Just wanted to give an update on the situation.

So far, cleaning out the video card drivers with that "display driver uninstaller" has worked perfectly. My BSODs have not showed up for 2 weeks now. Why AMD doesn't release an easier way to uninstall their old drivers is beyond me, but thanks for the help!
