Hi folks,

My computer won't boot after the KB976422 update. I tried using the recovery console but it says it can't repair it. I can backup my files using ubuntu and reinstall the OS but that would be too much of a hassle. I am getting the 0x7B bsod before I even see the login screen. I am running win7 64-bit with nvidia 9800gt. Is there a way to uninstall a update from the command line in win7? I know we can do it in xp.

Thanks,
Ritesh

it looks like my graphics card might be at fault.... i reinstalled my win7(64b) and when it updates the drivers for the nvidia 9800gt card it freezes and I have to do a cold boot. And also any time I try to access the nvidia control panel it freezes as well. I am not sure if the drivers for nvidia 9800gt are compatible with 64bit win7. I even tried downloading the drivers from nvidia site but it still freezes .. i'm trying a 32 bit installation now .. we will see how that goes.

thanks for the reply
