Don't cry.

I'd suggest you to a clean install once again incase something may have gone wrong while getting those updates. Download your OS with pre-sp1 from this tutorial: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html

Also check how the computer runs with no programs/drivers installed.

In the second tutorial, don't run the clean all command, run the clean command.
