Just started happing lately, when I update software and reboot, I get the BSOD. Then I shut my PC off and reboot and everything loads and runs perfectly. I have not malware or viruses on PC and it's just perplexing as to why this started occuring. I would appreciate any help I can get, TIA. This forum is new to me, I uploaded my BSOD pic and the dm log collector, but I don't see it in here.

i'm not familiar with the workings of this forum software. I did upload the file twice yesterday and 2 pics, don't know where they went, but followed instructions. I'll try again, also tried easeus partition and can never finish, but the first block on a scan is red and I can't run chkdsk /f no matter what I do!!

Sorry Layback Bear, but I'm not at all familiar with the workings of this forum on uploading, even after reading, what I followed to upload my files.

Do you then go to the paperclip icon and insert them into the post? Depending on your settings, you may have to "Go Advanced" to see it.

Please delete the zip file from your desktop and run the posting instruction file again. Most of the files were not in the zip file. Do not open or alter the files please. We need all the files to help determine a cause. What CPU cooler do you have on your i7-920?

Please monitor your CPU and GPU temps at all times. If your graphics card is overclocked please set it back to defaults. Also, please give me the voltage and Amps of your power supply. It should be on a sticker on the side of it.

Have you installed any new hardware or software just before this started. How many BSODs have you had? You only have 1 dump file in the zip folder.

Also, please do not run any disk cleanup tools for a while. They tend to delete many of the files we need. Did your graphics card come with the computer or was it added later? If there are any activities you do that cause it to BSOD please advise us. We will most likely be asking you to make a few changes until we get it sorted out. Also, please go into Device Manager and see if you have any that have a yellow triangle on them or an exclamation point on them. I will probably have more questions later.

Don't know if anyone has looked at my problem, but I ran a WD test on my drive and it failed for S.M.A.R.T. I received a new drive under warranty and the bsod had disappeared. They said my drive was on its way out. New drive passed WD test and the only problem I have now is I can't run chkdsk /f, it says i have to remove software or something and then boots up. If anyone has an idea on fixing this, I'll be back in business, TIA.
