Client has been getting BSODs after computer goes into sleep mode. First step I took was removing AVG free antivirus since it had a reputation for causing this. This is a Windows 7 Home Premium laptop. Let me know what information you need. I have been trying to use WinDbg to figure out the process causing the issue but the only help it seems to provide is that ntoskrnl.exe is causing the issue. This is first time I have tried to use dump file to diagnose BSOD and could use some help towards the right direction.

The dump files are not from my PC which is Windows 8, they are from a Windows 7 PC which is why I posted on a Windows 7 Forum

I apologize, that was the SF file that it indicated would be created and I zipped it to be uploaded. I do not know why that is what it created. I will try again.

The instructions were flawed in the process of retrieving the data. Grab All only inserted the mini dump files into that folder. I ran each one individually and zipped it for upload. Hopefully this is what you were looking for.

Crashes indicate Kaspersky being a possible cause. Remove Kaspersky and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials to see if it provides more stability. Uninstallers (removal tools) for common antivirus software. Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes are recommended from a strict BSOD perspective. They do not cause blue screens on the system as other AV products do.

Microsoft Security Essentials, Free antivirus for windows and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free

   Information
  • :warn: Do not start the free trial of MalwareBytes, unselect that option when prompted.

  • :tip: Update and make full scans with both separately.

Drivers

There seem to be allot of outdated drivers in your system and if they are not compatible they would cause BSOD's. Please either update the drivers below to their latest version available OR, uninstall the software and all its drivers. To remove a stubborn software, use revo uninstaller free.
